My USB Thermometer Review
While this thermometer is cheap compared to other USB thermometer, it is the task on a computer with XP. Unfortunately, the software comes with is bad, to say the least, but that's not a problem, because there are some really good alternatives, such as UTAC (freeware). With UTAC TEMPer a very useful tool for e-mail alert when changes temp, web server monitoring and other nice features.
On the other hand, on comparing the performance of two tempers, I found that they deviate by about 1 degree Celsius, so you want to calibrate TEMPer against an accurate thermometer (could) be in UTAC. While likely to be TEMPer for monitoring server room temperatures well if the freezer or outside temperatures TEMPerNTC you need to want to monitor a waterproof probe.
